Thrifty!

Monday, May 18th, 2009

OK. It worked.

A vintage dealer once told me that sometimes you go thrifting and it is somehow magically your day and everything amazing is just waiting there especially for you. Well this Saturday was my MOTHERF*ING day.

Actually it was my friend Maya’s and my big blow out Palm Springs thrifting extravaganza before she heads out to New York – permanently. And we did it with a bang.

So I am going to parcel out the amazing things we found all this week instead of doing one big thrifty post. Seriously – they deserve their own space.

I’m calling him “The Magician”. Maya calls him “John Cleese”.

Arabia Planter

I would also enjoy having an Arabia Finland planter. (In white)

Well, lets not limit it to just one…I would like many. In different sizes.

Molecules

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

I am officially obsessed. I NEED a vintage molecular model kit. With the wooded balls and pegs (no springs please).

I am officially entering my late 20’s with this upcoming birthday in June. I was happy during my mid 20’s (full of life, eager for adventure, the world had so much promise) but now 30 is creeping up.

So to remedy this situation I need obtain a vintage molecular model kit to somehow bone up on my chemistry and find the cure for aging at a MOLECULAR level. Or maybe I would just use it for decor…

Every year the peeps closest to me ask what I want and I can honestly never tell them. They say, oh Morgan your impossible to buy for…you hate everything we get you. And its true! So conveniently I’m going to start listing some of the things that I desperately want to fight years of driving my loved ones nuts with being such a obsessively weird pretentious prick. With pictures. You can’t go wrong.

Oh and J – this is mainly for you. Seven years and we’ve never really exchanged gifts….its a travesty. I bought that belt that didn’t fit you one year and maybe you bought me some mushrooms. That just seems so sad.

Gifts are HARD.
