I don’t know about you, but I need a drink.

Maybe its just my upcoming vacation to Laughlin that has me obsessing on cocktails and cigarettes… In honor of giving up and giving in there’s vintage bar ware for sale over at the old BRICK HOUSE VINTAGE Etsy store for your self destructive pleasure.

I think I might actually be thrifted out.

A friend visited this weekend to go on a whirlwind thrifting adventure to stock up for her big move to the east coast. We hit Palm Springs, Temecula, Hemet and everywhere in between. I don’t think I’ve ever been to that many thrift stores in a two day period.

There were many, many, many awesome scores – and I think after a long drought the thrift stores were plentiful in fine objects. I haven’t had time (or energy) to sort through it all but I wanted to give a sneak peak…

Wooohoo! Two awesome Arabia pitchers!

THIS might be my new favorite thing.

We are going to glam this bitch up with this fancy new Lucite and brass chandelier! It’s going in the bedroom, no matter what the Boy says.

***Thanks M – it was a BLAST!

CH-CH-Changes…Part Duex

As part of Spring Cleaning/Barterfest ’09 I decided to change out the thrifted bubble lamp for something a little more exciting.

Above is the dining room before with the $6 Nelson Bubble Lamp. Although I love this lamp, it was originally intended to be a sconce. It was a little under scale and a little too white to really pop.

Shazammm. Hello darling, welcome home.

This vintage baby was found at Amsterdam Modern during my recent trip to Los Angeles. Definitely visit Ellen if you get a chance – the place has an AMAZING selection of imported vintage pieces at pretty reasonable prices. I know I’ll be back.

It has a really neat feature – the lamp has a pulley system that adjusts the lamp shade up and down to customize the height.

Here it is finally installed in the dining room. I love it.

This is the other addition to the dining room that I actually bartered for. Its GORGEOUS, and I can’t wait to fill it with beautiful serving ware and pottery!

I do miss the vintage portrait, so some rearranging might still be in order…
