I recently found this Westnofa Siesta high back armchair at the Salvation Army for $20, problem is, its missing its leather seat cushion. Wah-wah. Where could that leather have gone? A definate thrift store mystery for sure. I grabbed it anyhow, knowing I would care and nurture it even though it was going through some rough times.
Its really too bad since I love Westnofa, and would have liked to have a complete chair (and ottoman since I’m being greedy).
I still think there is something sort of elegant about it with just the canvas backing. Maybe it seems more rugged or more like my favorite chair ever, the Safari. The design is killer, especially how the cording slips between the wood supports to keep the canvas taught. This thing is still super comfy even without the cushion and conforms to your body in all the right ways. Maybe I could throw a sheep skin on it and call it a day, since its not likely I’ll stumble on a rouge cushion any time soon.
