Kitchen

The new kitchen bar is coming along with the addition of my recently found Bertoia chairs. I just picked up a set of six that need some love, but for the price they were a steal. The other four will go on the patio right outside the kitchen.

Whats that lovely art you say? Above the awesome open storage? Oh yeah…

Spagat!

This lovely clown photo was the best of a stack of clown head shots from the seventies that I bought at a local Angel View Thrift. With a snazzy frame fom Target it looks like art.

He’s so drunk!

Here is a close up of my stuff on shelves. It will change…it always does…

**Maya – I finally got it! My very own Blabbermouth radio!

Kitchen Bar

Above is an older pic of the kitchen nook. We had this Ikea Melltorp table and pair of Saarinen chairs which in the end weren’t very convenient to sit in and took up a lot of space in our narrow galley style kitchen.

So while Craig built our lovely built-in bookshelves I asked to also have this bar built with the leftover wood – because I’m a dick.

I designed a little storage area to show off lovely cooking things.

Craig installed a wood support for the bar top on both walls.

The Boy and Craig are trying to level out the back support for the bar top.

All installed!

And for the big finish…I painted it up.

I have a new pair of chairs I recently picked up going here, which I’ll reveal later with the fully styled bookcases and breakfast bar!

*By styled I mean filled with crap.

Spring Break is over. BOO HOO

I’m back from vacation in the magical and mystical city of Laughlin, NV. Thankfully this wizard bus was around to remind me of the infinite charms of this strange strange place.

I did not win big : (

So, no fancy remodels. I was fantasizing about a ridiculous jackpot win that would allow us to afford all sorts of rehabs to happen. No luck though…

Not even at BINGO.

I did come home to a primed house! The boy got his paint on and started the long tedious task of caulking, priming and painting all that cement brick. He is awesome, but not done…

…and also not a huge fan of painting. FU Brick House!
