Thrifty!

When I picked up this little mid century desk lamp I thought it might be designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier. I have a floor lamp by Thurston that I picked up ages ago that still needs to be rewired. A closer look reveals this thrifted light to be something else entirely.

(The actual Gerald Thurston lamp)

Now I have no clue what this little light could be.

But it was $3, totally brass and super sassy.

I picked up another piece of studio pottery for $2 at the local Hospice Thrift. It’s chillaxing with the new Equus poster, big geode and other thrifty pottery on the DIY shelf.

I’m addicted to cheap ceramics.

I picked up this vintage framed EQUUS poster for $10 at the Palm Springs Revival Thrift. All I really knew about Equus was that Harry Potter got naked and horses were involved.

A little research revealed it to be designed by Gilbert Lesser in 1976. And it’s in the MOMA collection.

It’s my first poster as art and I think it’s fabulous.
