Is it bigger than a bread box? Nope – it is a bread box!

$4 a the Salvation Army. They were having a 30% off sale on everything in the store this past weekend which really helps.

Some needlepoint. $2 at the SA

I’m not sure what this is, is it a little step stool, plant stand, or table? $3 at the Hospice Thrift.

A little piece of conceptual art. I thought it was hilarious. $1 at the Hospice Thrift.

A little planter. I forget how much (like $3)…I got it at the SA.

$4 at the Salvation Army. The best part is the “Allied Chemical” printed on the bottom. Got to love the atomic age.

Owl candle holder. Awesome and only $3 at the SA

I had to just add “Chester the Molester” since I LOVE him so much. This was actually thrifted by my friend Airik about 2 years ago at a Goodwill. I was always jealous of it, and one year he gave it to me for my birthday. Best Gift Ever.

Someone stop me, because I can’t stop myself.

Salvation Army – $9.99. It needs a new shade, and its yellow. I can’t resist a yellow lamp.
I kind of regret getting this lamp.

Salvation Army – $3.98 and $5 respectively. What the hell is up with the weird pricing at the SA? It never makes much sense to me, and their “boutique” what a complete joke, overpriced and full of horrible stuff. I want to give the boutique manager shaken baby syndrome.

But…I’ll never stop going.

Hospice Thrift represent! $5 for the velvet and $1 for the Lucite chair. HOOOLLLA. ONLY one dollar – the back is cracked but it was only a dollar. I’m totally going to be a crazy hoarder.

Also Hospice Thrift. I shelled out $10. More than I would have liked to, but the story of the “crazy lonely old lady who obsessively painted portraits of her pet bird” got me. Be free little bird.

Well the thrift store gods have run out of energy during this stupid heat wave.

These are my only two finds:

A 1950’s mixer with lots of funny settings for different types of foods to mix, like Egg Cremes, Mashed Potatoes, and Frosting. $8 and it works great – the bowl rotates and the mixers purrrrrr. It does need a good cleaning.

The phone – $5 and I believe it works. I don’t actually have a land line so its the illusion of functionality.

My sister and I went to the Long Beach Flea Market on Sunday, and it was a total bust. Not one thing. I didn’t buy ONE thing. It was HOT HOT HOT and the vendors were not in stellar moods – they were not willing to bargain at all.
