January 1st, 2010This is definitely Not Thrifty! but it’s sure is getting a little bit Scandinavian around here.
I had a few out of town guests stay at the old Brick House who are rabid mid century enthusiasts. So of course we headed out to Palm Springs to check out the goods.
My favorite little vintage import store JP Denmark just relocated to the Perez Art and Design enclave of stores in Cathedral City. Just The BEST little store for Danish design…but you’re going to pay for it $$$.
They are currently awaiting the big containers FULL of new-old things to arrive from overseas after the owners two month long shopping trip. What a perfect job.
Drool.
$200 bucks for this shaggy rya rug. I was very tempted.
Not Thrifty!

The holidays have not been kind to thrift stores. Over-shopped and under-supplied I haven’t found much of anything on the regular thrifting route.
The cops did show up. Oh no, Thrifty! crime.
One of my favorite lighting fixtures EVER in a thrift store – and they have three of them.
Ugh. Not even worth it…I’m totally scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find some thrifty items to shoot.

It’s missing a couple of screws and needs a deep cleaning but for $4.95 I don’t really give a shit. Holler bitches.
Now the question is this: where do I put it?
